We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative Membership Operations Team Leader who is passionate about membership operations and looking for a rewarding supervisory opportunity.

The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) is a membership organisation dedicated to supporting our members to improve the standard of medical practice across the fields of radiology and oncology. Members are the lifeblood of the RCR and we’re seeking a Membership Operations Team Leader that will ensure member’s interactions with us are seamless, easy and professional.

As the team lead you play a critical role in supporting the high-performing Operations team through day-to-day supervision to meet service-level agreements and deadlines. You’ll ensure the smooth functioning of our membership processes, act as the first point of contact for queries from the team and provide an excellent service to our members, doing your part to contribute to the overall success of the RCR.

What you’ll do:

• Coordinate and deliver the members’ annual renewal processes and manage communications channels and copy.
• Manage the member life cycle and regularly review operational processes, policies and practices, with oversight from the Membership Operations Manager.
• Supervise the Operations Team in line with goals and objectives agreed by the Operations Manager, providing motivation, coaching and direction on a day-to-day basis.
• Be the point of contact to assist and support members of the Operations Team in relation to member escalations and queries.
• Work closely with the Operations Manager to manage and plan current and future workload to ensure the team meets deadlines, provides an exceptional service and reaches service level agreements (SLAs).
• Develop comprehensive and presentable reports to support data-led decision making, renewals tracking, KPI targets or to provide insights.
• Management of budget lines assigned to operational activities to ensure favourable terms are achieved.

This individual will be recruiting, retaining and upgrading regular donors to generate income through a variety of direct marketing methods such as direct dialogue, DRTV, digital, and direct mail. They will be encouraging regular monthly gifts or support via one of our main products such as general Regular Giving and Sponsorship, our Lottery, Value Exchange programme and other methods of committed giving as they arise.

District Secretary for Administration and Compliance

Do you have the skill, experience and vision to lead in building and maintaining good practice for a newly amalgamated District of the Methodist Church?  We are a collaborative, justice-seeking family of churches, looking for a skilled senior administrator.

This is a senior leadership position in a merged organisation.

1. Collaboration with the District Chair and the District Secretary for Ministries & Vocations in the leadership of the District, and promoting the values of the District in all work practice.
2. Collaboration with the Mission Area Leads to facilitate support of the circuits in relation to the responsibilities of administration and compliance issues.
3. Responsibility for compliance with all relevant legal, financial, and governance matters, including compliance with the relevant parts of The Constitutional Practice and Disicipline of the Methodist Church, including:
   1. budget and accounting, in partnership with the District Treasurer;
   2. data protection;
   3. lay employment processes;
   4. safeguarding.
4. Working with the District Safeguarding Officers, the District Safeguarding Group and others to ensure safeguarding processes for the District are robust and effective.
5. Responsibility, together with relevant District officers and bodies, for strategy for property and finance across the District, and for its implementation.
6. Enabling the District Property Consents group to fulfil their responsibilities regarding property matters within the District.
7. Coordinating the District Grants Policy and its implementation through the District Grants Committee.
8. Ensuring that the District’s responsibilities for Reconciliation and Complaints are fulfilled, including liaising with the other District Leaders and ensuring the appointment and functioning of the District Local Complaints Officer and District Reconciliation and Complaints Support Group(s).

The purpose of this role is to provide efficient and comprehensive administrative support to the joint directors of development and engagement (D&E), and director of policy and strategy (P&S). This would be an ideal role for a well-organised and enthusiastic candidate who is looking for the next step in their business administration career. ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to oversee the efficient and effective functioning of our organisation's key operational areas, including Operations, People management, Finance, Security and Compliance. The Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth implementation of our humanitarian programs while upholding the highest standards of excellence, accountability, integrity, collaboration and lifelong learning.

5. Security and Risk Management: Ensure security protocols are adhered to and risk management strategies are in place to safeguard staff, assets, and programme operations. Ensure that RedR’s Global Safety and Security Policy meets international standards, dealing with security concerns and incidents that arise and raising these as necessary. 
6. Resource Utilisation: Analyse resource requirements and utilisation across programmes, providing insights and recommendations; collaborate with programmes to develop strategies for optimising resource allocation and utilisation. Establish mechanisms for ongoing monitoring of resource allocation and utilisation across programmes.

Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and donor requirements; maintain and periodically update RedR UK organisations policies and associated processes, ensuring RedR UK is compliant with relevant legislation in its countries of operation. About the Opportunity

You’ll lead our portfolio of ‘on-the-ground’ work across healthy and sustainable diets, with responsibility for concept generation, innovation, piloting, commercial development (including income generation) and operational delivery, with impact a clear focus throughout. You’ll lead a senior leadership team to ensure our programmes, schemes and services achieve our 1-year and 3-year plans. You’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities and threats for the portfolio as a whole, for forging strong external relationships and partnerships, that can help to scale our impact and income. Reporting to the Programmes Director, you will be a member of the Charity Leadership Team, whilst leading, via your direct reports, a wider team of c. 50 people.

About You

You are a natural leader with an empowering, coaching style, that can bring out the best in the senior managers that you lead, helping them realise their potential whilst maintaining a clear focus on impact outcomes. You are a proven commercial and operational leader, with extensive experience of programme or product development and delivery, as well as knowledge of/interest in relevant issues including childhood health and diet, school food, and public sector procurement. You are able to collaborate effectively and influence a wide range of stakeholders, developing relationships with partners and allied organisations who can help us achieve our aims. You’re able to strategically prioritise and provide clarity, consistency and confidence for your wider team.

Are you passionate about building community strength and resilience?  Interested in managing a small charity with big ambitions?

We are looking for community-focused person, with vision, skills and enthusiasm to become the first Director of our small charity and help to deliver our ambitious plans. Our Roehampton is a registered charitable company that is embarking on an exciting period of development to establish itself as a community-led anchor organisation for Roehampton in the London Borough of Wandsworth.

You could be someone who’s managed a community organisation before or has experience of managing projects in a community setting and now wants to take on a leadership role.  The successful candidate will have proven community development and engagement skills as well as be able to work strategically to lead and support the development of the charity;  you will be equally comfortable supporting a group of residents with ideas for a new activity, hosting a meeting of the Roehampton Network and liaising with local authority or health partners on strategic matters. You will have experience of staff and/or volunteer management and have the organisational skills to ensure Our Roehampton runs as a safe, legally compliant organisation. You’ll have a track record of embedding equality, diversity and inclusion understanding into your work.

Baird and Co Recruitment, a specialist Social Housing recruitment firm, have been retained by The Yardley Great Trust Group and Sir Josiah Mason Trust in their acquisition of a Finance Director.

The role will work across both businesses following their partnership agreement in January 2023. Both businesses are steeped in the history of Birmingham, with the origins of The Yardley Great Trust Group going back to the 14th Century and SJMT’s beginnings in 1868. Their work in the Alms House arena is also highly individual, an area of support found in the heritage of SJMT.

The Finance Director role would ideally start swiftly and will take on a largely strategic direction whilst still requiring operational input.

Based in Olton, candidates with experience in a senior leadership role in finance whilst holding an understanding of how charities, housing providers or public sector organisations work will be highly advantageous.

The Finance Director post will cover many facets including, but not limited to:

Executive Leadership

• Working with the executive team to develop and manage the delivery of robust corporate, strategic and financial business plans
• Demonstrating positive leadership behaviours and bringing values to life within the organisational culture
• Effectively planning and providing for the resources required to action strategic and operational plans
• Undertaking quarterly reviews of the Charity's Risk Registers, reporting on major risks and mitigations at each Board meeting.

Financial Strategy and Control

• Leading on the delivery of strategic and annual financial business plans, ensuring viability is regularly tested through scenario modelling, appraisals, and stress tests
• Taking responsibility for annual budget and management accounts processes and preparation of statutory accounts
• Maintaining up-to-date reserves policies that meet the requirements of both the Charity SORP and RSL SORP
• Managing relationships with investment managers, ensuring regular review of performance and satisfaction
• Developing and maintaining effective systems of financial control that ensure that business plans are continually reviewed and reported on
• Maintaining overall responsibility for the computerised accounting system, including sales ledger, purchase ledger, cash book and nominal ledger

Treasury

• Being responsible for each Trust’s Treasury Management strategy and policy to ensure the availability of and flexibility of funding to support the achievement of strategic objectives and reduce exposure

Risk Management

• Leading on the development of risk management strategies and registers, audit frameworks, procedures and appraisal systems for capital projects and all other significant areas of risk.   

Growth and Innovation

• To support the Chief Executive in the development of the Strategic Business Plans in a way that supports innovation and growth in services

ICT / HR

• Leading on the development and delivery of an effective ICT and Telecoms Strategy which supports mobile and agile working and customer relationship management that underpins our drive for excellent business
• Supporting with the development, implementation and review of an effective People Strategy which supports the vision and values of each Trust
• Reviewing the administration of all statutory returns and sector-relevant returns/surveys
• Leading on the annual remuneration review to approve or decline and make recommendations for salary increases
• Taking responsibility for the outsourced payroll and workplace pension scheme
• Overseeing the relationship with the outsourced IT support provider, ensuring optimal support to staff and monitoring performance against contract
• Working with and developing the use of financial accounting software to meet the operational and strategic development needs of the business

To secure the Finance Director post, the Trusts are seeking the below:

• Proven experience at a senior leadership level in a finance environment
• Experience preparing financial business plans, modelling scenarios and sensitivity analysis
• A track record of delivering on a range of other corporate support services such as IT or HR and Governance
• A relevant Professional Qualification i.e. CCAB or equivalent and membership of a recognised UK body desirable
• Up-to-date knowledge of all regulatory requirements including Finance, People, IT & Governance
• Experience developing services to achieve and support strategic organisational objectives.
